Evrémonde. . . a sequel to "A Tale of Two Cities"
Ms. Mayer was born in Los Angeles County in 1972. She received an undergraduate
degree in Political Science from American University in 1993 and a Master’s Degree
from Johns Hopkins University in 1995. She has since enjoyed a career that has included
legislative and analytical positions with the U.S. Senate, the Department of Justice
and the Department of Homeland Security.
Evrémonde was a project years in the making. After developing the idea for a sequel to A Tale of Two Cities, Ms. Mayer spent significant time abroad in Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom conducting Napoleonic- era historical and military research. Most recently she resided in Vienna, Austria, but she now lives in Washington DC with her husband. She is a member of the Dickens Fellowship, the Historical Novel Society, and the Napoleonic Alliance. She can be contacted directly via email
